The Patents, Trademarks & Copyrights Section keeps up with the latest developments in the intellectual property field. We have outstanding speakers on trademarks, patents and copyrights. Each year we have a windup of the important cases in our field during the past year.

Louis J. Bovasso has been an IP attorney for over 30 years. He is currently and equity partner with the firm of Greenberg Traurig LLP in Santa Monica. He is on the editorial board of the Trademark Reporter of the International Trademark Association and is editor of Century City Lawyer. He was co-editor the R & D Strategist, an Auerbach nationwide publication directed to research and development in various types of businesses.

Francie Gorowitz is a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where she practices intellectual property law, concentrating primarily on trademark, domain name, and copyright law. Francie is a member of both the California Bar and the New York Bar. She began her career, over twenty-five years ago, as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has practiced in an intellectual property law boutique firm and in large general practice firms. Francie is a frequent lecturer on various topics in intellectual property law.
